The Shires Waterford Dutch Gag is a 3 ring Dutch Gag which applies pressure to the poll, the amount of pressure and leverage is controlled by the rider and the use of the 3 rings; the lower the ring the more leverage and control the rider will have. When using the Shires Dutch Gag Waterford two reins should be used; one on the main snaffle ring of the bit and the other on the second lower ring.
